travels with ellie

I adopted Ellie at the Adelaide Children’s Hospital in Australia, about 6 years ago (OK she was purchased at the gift shop there). Soon after, I left home alone on a 4 month trip to discover the East Coast of Australia. She sat on the dash of my car, watching over me - and somehow became a part of my new life. Of course Ellie had to have her own spot in my backpack when I left Australia for Central America and has travelled with me ever since. Today she sits by my computer, keeping me company as I work. Amongst my many life changes, Ellie has remained a constant. Symbolic of my first adventurous steps forward, never judging and always reminding me of how far I have come.
